Fangland Announced!

Legendary horror man John Carpenter has been tapped as the director for the film adaptation of Fangland.

Fangland was written as a novel in 2007 by John Marks (60 Minutes) and tells a re-imagined version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula in post 9/11 NYC.

The screenplay/ adaptation was written by another legend in the field, Mark Wheaton (Friday the 13th).

It has been announced as well that Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) will be involved in the movie as a producer and a star. That should provide some more hype as we move forward.

Everybody loves a good vampire story these days, but with real horror veterans on this project we should be able to look forward to a good old fashioned, non-sparkly vampire movie.

There has been no official release date set for the flick, but it looks to be another headliner to add to 2011.
